Home Made Chocolate Sauce - Much better than store bought
Take a heavy bottom pan and add water, sugar, salt and cocoa powder. Mix it very well . I used a wire whisk, you could use the same or could even mix with hands or a wooden spatula to ensure that there are no lumps of cocoa powder left.
Place it on medium heat , stirring constantly, ideally with a wire whisk. The mixture will take anywhere between three to five minutes for it to boil.
Once it boils , and seems to come up beyond the pan boundaries, reduce the heat. Else you could continue on medium heat.
It wil thicken as it is cooked. In a total of 6 to 10 minutes , the chocolate syrup will be ready.It will continue to thicken even when removed from the flame.
Remove from flame and let it sit on the counter to cool down to room temperature.
Add in the pure vanilla extract and mix well.
Pour in a glass bottle or a storage container of choice . The chocolate sauce is ready. You will never buy any chocolate syrup or sauce from the market once you have tasted this.
